Difference between PVC foam conditioner and PVC processing aids

Performance characteristics
PVC foam regulator:
1)Higher viscosity, high melt strength, can effectively increase the cohesion and homogeneity of PVC melt.2)Strong late plasticizing ability, but the plasticizing speed is relatively slow, poor fluidity.
(3) Need to increase the plasticizing temperature to give full play to its role.
PVC processing aids:
1) Low melting point, easy to plasticize in PVC melt.
(2) Good compatibility with PVC, can adhere to PVC particles, increase friction, generate internal heat, improve the melt heat and shear transfer.
3)Fast plasticizing speed, balanced plasticizing degree, but the melt viscosity and strength is relatively low.
Application effect
PVC foaming regulator:
(1) The main function is to regulate the PVC foaming process. In the production of PVC foaming products, it can effectively control the structure of the bubble holes, so that the bubble holes are more uniform and fine. For example, in the production of PVC foaming sheet, the foam regulator can improve the elasticity and strength of the melt, so that the gas is evenly distributed in the PVC melt, preventing the bubble holes from merging. This is because it can increase the melt strength of PVC resin, so that the gas bubbles are not easy to rupture during the expansion process, so as to obtain high-quality foamed products, such as uniform density and smooth surface of the foamed sheet.
(2) It can increase the melt elasticity of PVC. It has good compatibility with PVC resin, at the processing temperature, so that the PVC melt has enough elasticity to wrap the gas generated by the blowing agent, to provide a stable environment for the growth of the bubble holes.
PVC processing aids:
(1) The focus is on improving the processing performance of PVC. It can promote the plasticization process of PVC resin, so that PVC is easier to melt and flow during processing. For example, in extrusion processing, processing aids can reduce the friction between the PVC resin and the processing equipment, reduce the damage to the resin caused by shear force, and make the processing process smoother.
2) Helps to improve the stability of PVC processing. In different stages of PVC processing, such as mixing, melting, molding, etc., processing aids can keep the processing conditions relatively stable. For example, it can prevent PVC from decomposing due to overheating during high-temperature processing, improving processing safety and product quality.
